Conroe Aquatic Center

The Oscar Johnson, Jr. Community Center is situated on nearly two and one-half acres south of downtown Conroe. A six thousand square foot building with meeting facilities, classrooms, computer lab, kitchen and offices supports the Center's programming efforts to address the needs in the community. A four thousand square foot activity building adds a game room, an art studio, restrooms and a large meeting room for programs and rental opportunities. Outdoor features include a lighted basketball court, playground area, picnic tables and seasonal swimming pool. Named for Oscar Johnson Jr., the first black Conroe City Council member, the Community Center is a vision of Conroe's Concerned Citizens and has been operating for over fifteen years.

Senior Center

We are looking for you to join us! The Senior Center, located at 1202 Candy Cane Lane, offers opportunities for seniors to socialize through games, painting, crafts, movie days and bingo. Coffee and light snacks are available each day. Special events are planned throughout the year such as guest speakers, holiday celebrations and workshops.

The Senior Center is a welcoming place for those 60+ to come and spend time with their peers socializing and remaining active in their community. We have daily activities to enjoy, or you can just come and socialize. All participants must be registered and pay for a monthly Senior Activity Pass! Monthly newsletters and calendars are available. Westside Recreation Center

 Unknown Image Formally known as Conroe YMCA, the Westside Recreation Center (WRC) was purchased in March of 2021 along with 161 acres of land that is now known as the beautiful Owen Park.

The WRC officially opened to the public January of 2022 after extensive renovations. The WRC serves the entire Conroe Community and offers several amenities such as a full court gymnasium, fitness classes, women's only fitness room and more!
