The City Attorney is appointed by City Council and represents the City of Conroe in all legal matters and provides legal advice to the Mayor, City Councilmembers and City administrative staff. The City Attorney drafts the legislation upon which City Council votes when setting the policies of the city, attends City Council and other board meetings to advise City officials and representatives regarding legal matters, selecting and managing outside counsel to represent the city in specialized litigation and other legal proceedings, prosecuting misdemeanors in the city's Municipal Court and advising and assisting every department of the City regarding legal matters.

The City Attorney does not provide legal advice to the general public and inquiries regarding City business should ordinarily be directed to the responsible department. If your inquiry involves legal matters, the department will consult with the City Attorney to decide how to address your need.

The City Attorney’s Office is located on the 3rd floor of the Conroe Tower at 300 W. Davis. You may contact the office by phone at (936) 522-3030 or by mail at PO Box 3066 Conroe, Texas 77305.
