The City of Conroe Engineering Department is responsible for maintenance and enforcement of the City’s floodplain ordinance, as mandated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).  The City Engineer operates in the capacity of Floodplain Administrator.
