The City of Conroe’s Community Development Department (CDD) was created by City Ordinance in 1974, and it has continued to play a vital role in stimulating growth and maintaining a quality living environment throughout the City since its inception. The Community Development Department has many diverse Community related responsibilities and is guided by the Director of Community Development, Nancy S. Mikeska.  The Department is located at 300 W. Davis, Suite 530, Conroe, TX 77301 on the 5th Floor of the Conroe Tower in Downtown Conroe.



The Community    Development Department is often considered the heart of the City, working out in the Community on a daily basis with initiatives as diverse as a Community Clean-Up Event with Mayor Powell, to growing our Downtown on a live music night, to Planning for the future of Conroe 20 years out.    Our goal is to create conditions of economic and social standards that produce tangible and sustainable benefits for the Community and the City as a whole.
