CITY ATTORNEY’S OFFICE

The City Attorney provides legal counsel and advice to the Mayor, City Council, and all departments of the City of Conroe. The City Attorney prosecutes all actions in the Municipal Court, represents the City in litigation, and is responsible for drafting, reviewing and preparing contracts, resolutions and ordinances.

The City Attorney does not provide legal advice to the general public and inquiries regarding City business should ordinarily be directed to the responsible department. If your inquiry involves legal matters the department will consult with the City Attorney to decide how to address your need.

The City Attorney is Marcus Winberry. Gary Scott is the Assistant City Attorney and also serves as the Municipal Court Prosecutor.

The City Attorney’s Office is located on the 3rd floor of the Conroe Tower at 300 W. Davis. You may contact the office by phone at (936) 522-3030 or by mail at PO Box 3066 Conroe, Texas 77305.
