The Conroe Fire Department and select members participate in a regional structural collapse rescue team.  The team consists of the Conroe Fire Department, The Woodlands Fire Department, and the North Montgomery County Fire Department (ESD #1).  We are a FEMA Type 3 team and cover a 13 county region in and around Houston.  Equipment and training are largely funded through the Department of Homeland Security and administered by the Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.

Team members are trained in the following disciplines:  Structural Collapse Technician, Trench Rescue, Rope Rescue Technician, and Confined Space Rescue Technician.  Deputy Chief Greg Nesom leads and oversees the program.
