The City of Conroe with the support of the Greater Conroe Arts Alliance, Montgomery County Historical Commission, the Conroe Convention and Visitor Bureau, and other local supporters, have submitted an application for Downtown Conroe to be designated a Texas Commission on the Arts Cultural District. Conroe is a delightful blend of nature, history, the arts and recreation nestled in the Piney Woods of east Texas. Recently named the fastest-growing city in the country among cities with more than 50,000 residents according to the latest U.S. Census Bureau , the City of Conroe has been a hub for Cultural, Visual, Performing, and Literary Arts. We hope the Commission will grant us the opportunity to show Conroe would be a wonderful addition to the Texas Cultural Districts.
