Notice of Public Hearing

The City of Conroe will hold a public hearing on the proposed Operating Budget for the fiscal year that begins on October 1, 2020, and ends on September 30, 2021.  The hearing will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at Conroe City Hall, 300 W. Davis Street, on August 6, 2020.  The meeting will be conducted by video conferencing.  Members of the public may attend and comment in person or may view the open meeting online at All interested parties are invited to attend. 

This budget will raise more total property taxes than last year’s budget by $1,772,878 (4.4%), and of that amount, $1,358,379 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year.

A copy of the proposed budget is on file with the City Secretary for public review and inspection. The City Secretary’s office is located at City Hall and is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Monday through Thursday and from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
