Communications

The Communications Section of the Conroe Police Department is under the command of the Support Services Commander. Communications personnel perform many complex duties, including but not limited to dispatching Patrol Officers for calls for service. The Communications Center is a state-of-the-art facility with advanced Computer Aided Dispatch system, or CAD, as well as a self-contained emergency radio system designed to maintain communications in the event of a total radio console failure. Communications Center Personnel are often the contact between the Officers and the community. This requires excellent communications skills, with the added ability of coordinating an Officer's and other emergency services response.   Mapping software and Automatic Vehicle Locator technology allow the Communications Officers to quickly locate the closest Patrol resources to any emergency in seconds.

Records

The Records Section is responsible for maintaining all of our case and accident reports.  Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.  Accident reports are available for $6.00 each.  Offense reports are 10 cents per page.  Requests made under the Open Records Act must be in writing and may be hand delivered to the Records Section, mailed or faxed to 936-522-3374.  Click HERE for a printable Request for Disclosure of Public Records form.  Clearance letters must be obtained in person and are $5.00 each.  All payments must be cash, check or money order.

Animal Control

The Animal Control personnel are under the command of the Support Services Commander and are responsible for handling all calls concerning domestic and wild animals. Complaints concerning violations of the various Municipal ordinances related to the keeping of wild animals and the control of domesticated animals may be directed to Animal Control. They are equipped with the necessary gear to control most situations and have been called upon to take control of everything from common house cats to alligators.   To be connected with Animal Control please call 936-522-3211.

Parking Control

Parking Control is a civilian position under the command of the Support Services Commander and is responsible for issuing parking tickets in and around the downtown area of Conroe. Parking control is well enforced in the downtown areas. Repeat offenders who have failed to take care of outstanding parking tickets may find their cars disabled with a device called a "boot". Instances where such extreme measures are necessary are rare, but will be taken for lack of action by the offender.  You may contact Parking Control by calling 936-522-3210.
