 The Capital Projects Division functions as the City's design engineering agency. Performing a variety of Civil Engineering, Surveying and technical work to ensure that public infrastructure, including Water Supply System, Sewer Collection System, Drainage, and Transportation Projects meet the needs and improve the quality of life for Conroe's citizens.

Most infrastructure improvements are designed "in-house" and constructed either by a division of the Public Works Department or by private contractors. Our staff also provides professional project management to ensure construction adheres to the design specifications. These "in-house" design and management efforts have led to increased capacity in the water and sewer systems, better management of storm water run-off, better traffic flow throughout the city due to roadway improvements and saved the city countless consulting expenses.

We are a self-funded department with projects supported by bonds. Some projects also include funding participation by Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and The Houston Galveston Area Council (HGAC).
