Fire Marshal Michael Legoudes
Mike Legoudes was promoted to the rank of Battalion Chief and assigned as the Fire Marshal for the City of Conroe on June 3, 2010. Mike began his career with the Conroe Fire Department on July 9, 2001 and served as a Firefighter at Fire Station 1 for six years. On June 1, 2007, Mike was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and was assigned to the Fire Marshal's Office, where he spent three years as a Deputy Fire Marshal working primarily on plan review and new construction inspections.
Mike is a 1998 graduate of Sam Houston State University and holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. Mike also is also certified as a Texas Peace Officer, Licensed Paramedic, Advanced Firefighter, Advanced Arson Investigator, Inspector, and Fire Service Instructor II.
Mike's primary responsibilities include the supervision and support of nine Deputy Fire Marshals. The Fire Marshal's Office is primarily responsible for fire code inspection and compliance in new and existing buildings, fire origin and cause determination, arson investigation, environmental law enforcement, and educational programs.
