Bike Patrol

The Patrol Division is also responsible for the Bike Patrol.  This assignment is not a fulltime assignment, but relies on extra duty from mostly Patrol Officers.  This voluntary unit provides bicycle patrol to our parks, shopping centers and neighborhoods.  You will typically find them at special events such as the Thursday night concerts, Cajun Catfish Festival, KidzFest, etc.  They will also be utilized for special assignments such as narcotics or burglary enforcement.
