Welcome to the Purchasing Department. We hope you find the information useful as it is intended to provide you with the general information you need to do business with the City of Conroe. Our goal is to provide the City with the best value in the acquisition of supplies, equipment, and services, which is critical to the effective organizational operations and a key function, both internally for the organization and for the public.
Purchasing is responsible for coordinating the entire bid process, which includes Request for Proposal's, and all sealed bids which consist of purchases in excess of $50,000, as required by state law.
Other responsibilities include Purchase Order Issuance and Managing the Disposal and Sale of Surplus City Property. In the course of these responsibilities, Purchasing is also responsible for monitoring all procurement activities and ensuring compliance with all state laws.

Online Bidding System
The City of Conroe utilizes the electronic bidding system. Register by clicking here for free to see bid documents and current open bids, as well as sign up for email notifications of new bidding opportunities.
Interactive Check Register Data
This database includes information on the city’s check and electronic disbursements, including payments to vendors. Detailed information is provided about each payment, such as the vendor the payment was made to, the amount of each payment, the department and the name of the account to which the payment was charged. You may also download the check register data.
Public auctions are used to sell city surplus and confiscated items. Auction schedules, locations, and contact information are provided.
