- Heavy Trash pick up, trash schedule, what are the limitations of trash pick up. All calls of this nature need to be directed to Allied Waste at (936) 756-8400. Allied Waste is the contracted trash service provider for the City of Conroe. Utility Billing is in charge of all complaints relating to Allied Waste, they can be reached at (936) 522-3170.
- Public Works deals strictly with maintenance issues on the water & sewer system all billing, connection, transferring or stopping service questions, fire hydrant meters and residential / commercial meter questions should be directed to the Utility Billing Department at (936) 522-3170.
- Bulk water purchases can be made thru the Purchasing Department located at the Public Works Service Center at 401 Sgt. Ed Holcomb Blvd. They can be reached at (936) 522-3829.
- Public Works is responsible for notifying Entergy of all streetlights that are burnt out. Reports of burnt out or non-working streetlights can be called in at (936) 522-3885 or send an email. Installations of new streetlights or requests for new streetlights are handled by the Community Development Department at (936) 522-3100.
- Streetlights out on State Highways, Interstates or Farm to Market Roads are the responsibility of Texas Dept. of Transportation. To report a highway department streetlight out contact (936) 538-3355.
- Requests for Road Humps are handled thru the Community Development Department at (936) 522-3100.
- Overgrown lots, depilated buildings/homes, junk cars, etc. are handled by the Code Enforcement Department at (936) 522-3080.
- Illegal signs that are picked up by the Sign Patrol are put in the stockpile at the Public Works Service Center. If an illegal sign has been removed and needs to be retrieved the Administration office will take your payment of $50 per sign and have someone help retrieve your sign. The Fire Marshal's office is in charge of the Sign Patrol all questions regarding illegal signs need to be directed to the Fire Marshal's Office at (936) 522-3080.
- Community Development Permits Office handles all driveways, water/sewer tap permits. The Permits Office can be reached at (936) 522-3110.
- City of Conroe Municipal Court offers community service for certain violations with the City of Conroe. Community service is a volunteer program and gives the person a chance to work off fines by working with Public Works employees. Community service workers work with the Street Department Monday -Friday 7:00am until 3:30pm. This program is monitored by the Municipal Judge for more information contact (936) 522-3380.

- Mosquito Spraying: The City of Conroe sprays for Mosquito's starting in May and ending in October 1st every year. The contracted pest control company sprays every Monday and Tuesday starting at 10pm and sprays the entire City limits in two nights. The company checks in and out with the Police Department Dispatch to verify they are in the city. For questions or concerns about mosquito spraying please contact the Public Works Office at (936) 522-3885 during regular business hours.
- Hazardous Waste Disposal: The City of Conroe does not take or pick up hazardous waste. The local household hazardous waste recycle center is located in Spring and can be reached at (281) 367-7283 for more information.
- The City of Conroe does not pick up limbs, heavy garbage, yard waste, construction debris, or any type of garbage. The City of Conroe does not have its own landfill, all items picked up due to littering must be taken to the local landfill in Security and the City has to pay for disposal. Waste Management operates the Security landfill and can be reached at (281) 592-3543 for disposal costs, hours, and general information.
- Sewer Stop Up. The City of Conroe requests that all sewer stop ups be reported to the Public Works Department PRIOR to calling a plumber. The Public Works Department will come out and run the sewer lines if it is a private problem the owner will be notified they need to contact a plumber. This saves residents money if it is a city problem. The City of Conroe does not refund plumbing costs due to sewer stop ups.
- Utility locates should be called in at least 3 days prior to commence of work for the installation or repairs of irrigation, water line, sewer line, driveways, fences or any other type of digging to be done in right-of-ways to insure the safety of the infrastructure and workers. Contact DIG TEST at 1-800-344-8377 and they will notify all utilities to mark their lines.
