City of Conroe Fleet Services Leads Nation

Named one of the "100 Best Fleets In North America for 2009"

The City of Conroe has proved to be a leader yet again, but this time with its fleet of nearly 400 vehicles. City of Conroe's Fleet Services Division was honored as one of the 100 Best Run Fleets in North America for 2009, by Government Fleet Magazine. There are 38,000 public fleet departments in the United States, over 1200 applications were sent out to fleet departments that were identified as outstanding by peer reviews and site visits. Each application was scored based on 12 criteria; accountability, technology, culture, recognition, collaboration, innovation, and celebration, correct work standards the first time, competitive pricing, efficiency, staff development, and stewardship of the environment.

The department's mission statement is: "To exceed customer's expectations by providing the highest quality equipment and fleet services through cost-effective and dedicated personal service."
