Fire Marshal Ron Hyde

Chief Ron Hyde began his career on January 14, 1991 and promoted to Fire Suppression Lieutenant on October 1, 1998.  Chief Hyde holds an Associate Degree in Arson Investigation and an Associate Degree in Fire Science and Safety.  He is a certified Firefighter Master, Fire Service Instructor Master, Inspector Master,  Arson Investigator Master, and EMT.  He is also a certified Master Peace Officer, and holds a Special Investigator License, Police Instructor License, and Crime Prevention Inspector License.  Chief Hyde was promoted to an Administrative Battalion Chief on January 28, 2008.  On July 14, 2008, he was reassigned as the Fire Marshal for the City of Conroe.  His duties include supervising 10 Deputy Fire Marshal's and 2 Code Enforcement Officers.  His staff performs inspections of Public Buildings for Fire Code compliance and fire safety, Fire Investigations, Environmental Code compliance, Code Enforcement duties,  and Public Education Programs.
