NEW PUBLIC SAFETY BUILDING

The City of Conroe is proud to announce the brand new opening of the new Fire Station #5 and a Conroe Police substation at the same location.   The land at the location of this new facility is donated by Albert Madeley and is located at 1601 Carter Moore Drive/FM 3083.

The entire building is approximately 9,500 sq. feet.  The amenities include:  A kitchen, a living room, a dining room, 8 dorm rooms, a utility room, an exercise room, a tool room, an upstairs storage area along with an air compressor room for refilling self contained breathing air bottles.  The building also includes a Lieutenant's office and a protective gear storage area.  Located within the building will be a Conroe Police Substation that will have a work area, a two office rooms, and a secure storage room.  12 Fire fighters will man this station and Haz-Mat responses will be answered from this station.

This new fire station was designed by the architects Spencer Partnership/Ron Brink and the expertise of the following that are Consulting Engineers Holste & Associates.  Structural Engineers that are Schmitz/Lamb, Civil Engineers of Lamb & Barger and the General Contractor is Fairweather Construction.  The cost for this building is $1.5 million with the furnishings of $100,000.00.

The City of Conroe Fire Department is dedicated to serving and protecting the citizens of Conroe and is proud to offer this new building and its services to the citizens and the community.
