- 1890'S - Downtown businesses district began to develop
- 1900's - Early years, lumber, timber and later oil and gas boosted position
- 1901 - Conroe survived devastating fire & named "The Miracle City"

- 1904 - Conroe Incorporated as a city & named after Issac Conroe
- 1911 - Second Downtown Fire
- 1920 - First City Hall built
- 1924 - City orders election for authorization to issue bonds for $49,000 to construct sanitary services and a sewage disposal plant.
- 1930 - First red light in Downtown Conroe

- 1930's - Current courthouse constructed
- 1930's - Capitol Drug Store
- 1930's - Crighton Theatre built for live entertainment
- 1950 - Elvis Presley performs at the Crighton
- 2006 - Population approximately 45,000
