Under the leadership of Director Guy D. Andrews, the Community Development department recognizes the connection between community's built and natural environment. The department provides efficient professional assistance to ensure responsible development practices that shall respect the natural landscape, cross-timbers, bottomland, floodplains, and all that it supports. Daily operations are performed within two functional divisions; Engineering and Building Permits.
The Engineering division is managed by Rami Tuffaha, P.E., which reviews all Plats, Subdivision, and Commercial Site Plan submittals within the City Limits and its designated Joint Planning Area (also known as the 10-Year Planning Area) to ensure that new Click on the button(s) below to access Conroe's Online Permitting:
Both divisions are located on the first floor of Conroe Tower, at 300 West Davis, Conroe, Texas 77301. Call 936-522-3110 to contact the Building Permits division, or 936-522-3100 to contact the Engineering division. They also handle all inspections associated with subdivision infrastructure construction and commercial site work, with the exception of the building inspection.
