2008- 2009  GRANT APPLICATION SCHEDULE

 July 30, 2008

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

The Conroe Commission On Arts & Culture & the Tourist Council of the Convention & Visitors Bureau, are proud to announce the 2008-09 grant cycle has started.  Applicants must be a 501 C3 non-profit arts organization and reside within the city limits of The City of Conroe or it's ETJ. 

•  Grant application pick-up: City Hall Hours
• Tuesday thru Thursday, October 7 - 10th of 2008 
• Fridays - 8am to 5pm. 
• No later than 5:00 p.m. at the Arts & Communications office, City Hall, 3rd Floor.  The Arts & Communications office is located in City Hall, 300 W. Davis, third floor. 

If you are applying with the Tourist Council, go to the Chamber of Commerce, 505 West Davis, first floor to the CVB office to pick up your application.

• October 8, 2008 -  Grant Workshop - City Service Center - Sgt. Ed. Holcomb Blvd.  at 9:00am to 11:00am
• All grant applications for the 2008-09 Commission funding cycle & Tourist Council are due to the Arts & Communications office on or before, Thursday or Friday, December 6 & 7 2007 , no later than 5:00 p.m.
• Please deliver by hand the original, plus six copies to the Arts & Communications office. Do not trust the mail delivery in this important matter. A new application cannot be considered until a satisfactory final report (original and six copies) is in place in the Arts Commission office. Consult the guidelines on the grant application for documents to be included in this report.

•  December 4 & 5 2008 - Turn in grant applications to:

•  December 8, 2008 - Arts Commission picks up their grants for review the week of Dec. 10, 2007.
• December , 2008 - 9:30 am - Presentation (5 minutes) to Tourist Council for Review at the Chamber Call for date 936 538-7109
• January 6, 2009 Tuesday, 1pm - Grant committee makes recommendations
• January 21 & 22.... 2009- City Council reviews and approves grant amounts

Janna Patrick & the CVB (Lindsey Hafner) will contact the Arts org. to pick up and sign for their check after approval from the City Council.  The Commission & the Tourist Council wishes all applicants the best of luck in all their funding efforts.
