LIGHT EQUIPMENT OPERATOR/DRIVER-STREETS
SALARY: (Gr. 62) $26,419 (12.70 /hr) - $33,024 (15.87/hr)
Application period: - Until Filled June 18, 2008
JOB SUMMARY AND PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
This position performs various duties, including driving dump truck, operating small equipment as well as making small repairs and daily maintenance to trucks and equipment used. Other duties include construction related to water and sewer line installation and/or maintenance.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must posses a Class "B" Commercial Driver's License.
- Must be able to kneel, sit or stand for long periods of time and lifting and walking with weight up to one hundred pounds.
- Must be capable of operating heavy equipment.
- Must be capable of conducting routine maintenance to vehicles and equipment.
- Must be capable of reading, writing and speaking in English
- Must be able to communicate using a two-way radio.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum two years experience in operation of vehicles and light equipment.
- Must be able to lift weights of one hundred pounds.
- Must be able to pass a drug test and a doctor's physical examination.
- Must possess a Valid Texas Class "B" Commercial Drivers License.
- Must be able to obtain Class II sewer collection license.
