The Aquatics division is comprised of the Conroe Aquatics Center along with the Oscar Johnson Jr. Community Center Pool. At the Aquatic Center the City of Conroe operates two year round enclosed, heated facilities. One 25-meter pool is used primarily for educational programs, fitness programs, lap swimming, and recreational swimming. The The Aquatic Center also includes a zero-depth, seasonal leisure pool featuring a graduated beach entry, and interactive play structure with water blasters, mini slides, a water curtain, and giant tipping bucket spilling 400 gallons of water periodically. The older recreational swimmer can enjoy two 22-foot slides enclosed for a speedy drop into a 4-foot pool of water.
Weather PolicyAll aquatic facilities will be closed during electrical storms and other foul weather watches or warnings. Swimming lessons will not be made up, but if three or more days in a session are missed due to weather, a credit will be issued to each participant good for use in future programs.
