Welcome to the Parks and Recreation Department.  The City of Conroe Parks and Recreation Department realizes that quality of life is vital to the residents of Conroe.  The numerous award winning facilities, programs and services provided by the department contribute directly to the health and well-being of the entire community.

Mike Riggens serves as Director of the department.  Twenty-seven full time staff and over 100 part-time and seasonal employees strive to ensure your parks and recreation experience is safe and memorable.  Click here to see our Vision, Mission and Core Values. 

The Park Operations Division is led by Lauren Arnold.  This division is responsible for the operation and maintenance of twenty-one parks, eleven esplanades and numerous miles of pathway.  The division also oversees facility maintenance and construction projects. 

Rob Hamilton leads the Recreation Operations Division.  This division is accountable for the operation of the Conroe Recreation Center, the Activity Center, the Conroe Aquatic Center, and Oscar Johnson Jr. Community Center and pool.  In addition, staff produce numerous programs and special events.
