Welcome to the Parks and Recreation Department!  The City of Conroe Parks and Recreation Department realizes that quality of life is vital to the citizens of Conroe.  The numerous award winning facilities, programs and services provided by the department contribute directly to the health and well-being of the entire community.    

This fall staff have some great events planned.  Examples include Kid Fish, Movie in the Park, Trick or Treat Trail, Community Wide Garage Sale, and Turkey Trot.  For information on these events and more, click on the PLAYbook Program Listing link. 

Recently, construction began on John Burge Park at Shadow Lakes.  This 39 acre park will include a pavilion, playground, trails, and nature education.  The park is located off of Little Egypt Road and is expected to be completed by the summer of 2011.  Click on the Construction Update link to see other projecs underway to enhance the quality of life in Conroe.
