A six thousand square foot building with meeting faclities, classrooms, computer lab, kitchen and offices supports the Center's programming efforts to address the needs in the community. Conroe residents can participate in the internationally recognized children's after school programming or summer day camps, tutoring and mentoring, martial arts, art programs, Spanish/English classes and a variety of other programs and special events. Named for Oscar Johnson, Jr., the first black Conroe City Council member, the Community Center is a vision of Conroe's concered citizens and has been operating for over ten years.
