Patrol Officers are the first elements of intervention in most Law Enforcement activities.  They respond to all calls for service and are responsible for original offense reports and field investigations.  Patrol Officers are also expected to enforce the laws of the State of Texas and Municipal ordinances.

The Patrol Division is under the command of Lt. Russell Reynolds and Lt. Jerry Abbott.  There are currently five Patrol shifts.  The shifts are designed to overlap in order to provide a seamless transition at shift change hours.  Shifts One through Three are the more traditional 8-hour shifts, respectfully; 0630-1430, 1430-2230 and 2230-0630.  There are two Sergeants assigned to each of the first three shifts.  Shifts Four and Five are 12-hour shifts, respectfully; 1000-2200 and 1400-0200.  There are two Sergeants assigned to cover Shifts Four and Five.  As we continue to add Officers additional Sergeants will be assigned as well.  Shift One Sergeants are Sgt. Mark Holt and Sgt. James Graham.  Shift Two Sergeants are Sgt. Doug Johnson, Sgt. Mark Walls and Sgt. Will Davis.  Shift Three Sergeants are Sgt. Jeff Bradford and Sgt. Brent Stowe.  Shifts Four and Five are supervised by Sgt. Joe Smart and Sgt. Robert Engel.
