Councilman Jim Gentry [Place 3 - Term expires 5/2014]
Jim is a graduate of the University of Georgia. He has been a Conroe resident since 1976 and has been a homebuilder for 30 years. Councilman Gentry is a past member of the Civil Service Commission, past member of the Heating and Air Conditioning Board, Reserve Officer with the Conroe Police Department and a Police Academy reserve graduate and is currently serving on the City of Conroe's Personnel Committee. Mayor Pro Tem Guy Martin [Place 4 - Term expires 5/2014]
Councilman Martin serves as a member of the Conroe's Finance and Personnel Committees and chairs the Legislative Committee that works with State Representative Brandon Creighton and State Senator Robert Nichols on legislation important to Conroe and Montgomery County. Councilman Gil Snider [Place 5 - Term expires 5/2014]
Gil Snider was elected to the Conroe City Council in May 2010. A resident of Conroe for 26 years, Gil lives in Rivershire with his wife Elaine. They have been married for 44 years. Their son Derrick graduated from Conroe High School in 1997 and from The University of Texas in 2001. With 37 years' experience, Gil retired from coaching and classroom teaching for Conroe ISD in May of 2007 and is a member of the Montgomery County Retired School Personnel. He coached football, track, and cross country at Washington Junior High, Conroe High School, Moorhead Junior High, and Caney Creek High School. For 26 years he has been a member of First United Methodist Church-Conroe, where he sings in the choir, serves as lead usher, and chairs the Board of Trustees. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. Gil graduated with a bachelor's degree from Stephen F. Austin University and with a master's degree from Sam Houston State University.

Marsha Porter was elected to the Conroe City Council in June 2008. She has called Conroe home for 43 years, having come here in 1969 for her fist job following college graduation. She graduated from Wayland Baptist College with a Bachelor of Science Degree and received her Master of Education from Sam Houston State University. Marsha was a teacher and coach for 33 years with the Conroe Independent School District. Following that, she was Assistant Athletic Director for two years and Athletic Director for the District for three years, and is currently a member of the Retired Teacher's Association for Montgomery County. Councilwoman Porter currently serves on the City's Finance Committee.
Jim Gentry was re-elected to the Council Place 3 Position on May 8, 2010.
Guy Martin was elected to the Conroe City Council on May 8, 2010. Guy was born and raised in Conroe and graduated from Conroe High School in 1970. He then went to the University of Texas on a football scholarship and later earned a Bachelor of Science from Texas and a Juris Doctor from St. Mary's College of Law. He passed the Texas bar exam and continues as a licensed attorney in the state of Texas. Guy was also a Series 7 broker and financial advisor registered with the NASD (National Association of Securities Dealers). He is an experienced and certified mediator, real estate developer and financial market consultant.
